Iron Man II

This is the 2 AM placement holder for the review of Iron Man II. I just got out of seeing the midnight viewing and I have to be at work within the next five hours so I'll have to keep this short. And by doing so, I'll be skipping any and all spoilers.

First, I'm going to skip mentioning the actors. Why? This isn't IMDB. It's a movie review and not an actor review page. With that said, the acting was phenomenal. Tony Stark had major character development and so did the James Rhodes character. We got to see the introduction of S.H.I.E.LD. as a real organization too. Props to having Nick Fury in a movie as a great background character who didn't take away from the plot. Also, Whiplash was a great character; despite having such a lackluster source material to base him off of. Overall, the characters were greatly done as well as the plot.

Definitely dug the music score; two Clash songs are hidden in the movie. See if you can spot them. Also, the casual use of Captain America's shield was a great prop. Now, the special effects are probably the best I've seen. I felt like the Iron Man suit was real and that I could go see a real one in use. Major points to a movie for having great eye candy and still having a great story.

In love with the movie. About to fall asleep. But glad with the results of seeing this movie. I'd say Iron Man II beats the first movie. Very rarely does a sequel beat out an amazing original.

Oh, and a final note: if you see the movie, make sure to see past the credits!
